Christian Charities, Inc., in addition to Backpack Blessings, operates several other programs.              These include:

Thanksgiving Turkeys:  Provided as part of the Rock Solid Ministries family frozen dinner program.

Annual Men's Communion Breakfast:  Heldat 7:00 AM on the Wednesday prior to Easter.  Annual location is rotated among area churches.

Milkman Runs:  Leftover lunch food and milk from community schools is picked up weekly and distributed to shelters and community food pantries.

Food Rescue Program:  Leftover food from area restaurants, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Pizza Hut, is collected weekly and used by the Circle U Help Center soup kitchen.

Emergency Meal Program:  For elementary school children in Wayne County, if they ask their Community In Schools (C.I.S.) representative for help with food for their dinner, they are given a MRE (Meals Ready to Eat).  It is as simple as that.  This program is available for the 2020-2021 school year at schools that partner with

the program.

Freezer Equipment:   COVID-19 has created greater food insecurities in our communities and Christian Charities has partnered with local food pantries to assist in the storage of frozen and refrigerated product.  We provide freezers, a refrigeration trailer and a freezer straight truck on assignment at the Circle U Help Center and the Gateway Hunger Relief Center.
